Nyxanna Martin is the author of Mini Stars. She grew up dancing at In Sync Center of the Arts in Quincy for 10 years. She was involved in the intern teaching program for 4 years during her time there. She was involved in many styles of dance like Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. At In Sync, she was also a part of their competitive team for four years, as well as her high school dance team for three. She came back to teach at In Sync about three years ago, while she studies at Bridgewater State University. Nyxanna is currently a double major in Elementary Education and History and a double minor in ELL and African Studies. She is currently going into her fifth year to get her masters degree in Education.

Teri and Amy oversee the creation of the “Stars” lesson plans. They have been working together at In Sync Center of the Arts for over 15 years. During that time, they have fine-tuned their preschool program to a well-oiled machine that has enriched the lives of thousands of preschoolers and they’re finally offering it to you! This is exactly the program they use in their studio and they have seen its success first-hand!

Teri Mangiaratti is the owner and director of In Sync Center of the Arts in Quincy MA, currently serving over 1,600 students and 30 staff members. When managing a studio of this size, it is important to follow lesson plans and maintain order while creating an exciting and inspiring learning environment. Teri has been teaching for over 35 years in studios, schools, national summer camps, recreation programs and preschools. In addition to studio ownership, she is honored to be included among the speaking staff at Dance Life Retreat Center and Dance Life Teachers Conference. When Teri isn’t teaching, speaking or mentoring, she is spending time with her husband and two teenage sons, Jake and Nick!

Amy Enos is the director of the preschool program and special needs program at In Sync Center of the Arts in Quincy MA and has been teaching dance in the studio environment for over 15 years. Amy is Rhythm Works Certified and has a passion for teaching that is palpable. As a former preschool education director, she takes her knowledge of childhood development and merges it with a love of dance to create a learning environment that enriches the bodies and minds of her young students. Amy has worked together with Teri to watch this dream of their lesson plans being taught all over the world come true! When Amy isn’t teaching her studio children, she is spending time with her own young children, Claire and Noah!
